PHOTOGRAPHY!
Or not...
Well, I'm actually rather proud of the outcomes. It was just getting an idea in the first place that was the biggest obstacle for me. I completely blanked the second I found out it was Photography. Thankfully inspiration hit and I set off with the assistance of my best friend (who was my model and victim for this project, and I am so thankful to her!) to create a piece with meaning! And the meaning for this? Simple, the world doesn't care until it's gone too far. They don't care if you're depressed until you're dead. They don't care if you're homeless until they see you in really desperate situations. Now, I am aware not everyone in the world is like this, thank God, but there is a big portion that are. The kind that say to someone with depression "what do you have to be sad about, your life is perfect" or "but in MY life *blah blah blah* and I'm not sad all the time like you" or even the age old mistake of "just cheer up!" So I used this project to make a stand and make this issue more known! When is enough for us to care hm? When someone's starving themselves to death? When someone's on the brink of suicide? When a victim of abuse is beaten to death? No! I say the second these issues arise, that is enough! The second someone skips a meal, has depression or is abused, that is when it's enough to stop and make a stand for them, offer them a hand! And that's what I'd hoped to convey with this piece.
The Design Sheet
The sheet in my opinion looked a lot better this week. It was less cluttered and it suited the piece nicely. I was able to say what I wanted to easily and, repeating myself here but, I do just generally like this sheet.
